A new research actually found that individuals who tend to focus on eating healthy foods that they’re fond of are more likely to be successful in their eating patterns as opposed to those who are fixated on avoiding unhealthy dishes they like.

Kelly Haws, PhD, an associate professor of marketing at Vanderbilt University’s Owen Graduate School of Management in Nashville says that you’ve got to focus on what you can have, can do and should have more of. It has a more positive outcome compared with advice like “never eat chocolate” and food lists.
