Magic Mushrooms: Easing Anxiety In Cancer Patients

CTV News tells us that the psychedelic ingredient can actually help treat anxiety in a quick and effective way. That’s not all. It has the potential to alleviate depression in patients diagnosed with cancer.

It seems that the effects of this form of treatment may last for two months according to the results of the two studies. Based on experts, more research must be done in order to check the effects of the substance.

USA Today explains that doctors can actually seek effective treatment for patients with the use of mushrooms in order to relieve pain. Though others think of it as taboo, it’s now gaining attention because of promising effects to distressed patients.

The hallucinogenic drug called psilocybin shows that it can be quite beneficial to CA patients with anxiety and depression. Patients were treated under controlled environments and they had outstanding results.

Hopefully, the studies will soon be conducted in order to probe the shroom’s effects on patients. It can definitely make changes to the different fields in the medical world, and help develop treatment.
