Did you know that black coffee and green tea may provide valuable health benefits? Yes! More reasons to fill up that cup.
Black Coffee in the Morning and Green Tea in the Afternoon May Provide Valuable Health Benefits
Tea and coffee are among the most widely consumed beverages in the world. Tea is the most consumed beverage next to water, with 2 billion people drinking it every morning. Eighty-seven percent of millennials also report drinking it regularly. Read More…
If you cannot drink coffee or tea (or you don’t quite like either), can you still capitalize on the fact that black coffee and green tea may provide valuable health benefits? Certainly. There is something that everyone can do – even pregnant women, as long as they follow their doctor’s advice – and you don’t have to run the risk of buying substandard products: exercise.
No matter which type of routine you go for, consistent physical activity is found to have the same health benefits as drinking a cup of black coffee or green tea. The National Health Service of the United Kingdom says that exercise can lower risk factors for major debilitating diseases like stroke, type 2 diabetes, and heart disease by up to 50 percent – and lower your risk of death by around 30 percent!
And all you need is around 150 minutes of physical activity per week to cash in on the advantages. No, this does not mean you need to hit the gym every other day. The NHS says that any activity that allows you to move fast enough to elevate your heartbeat, breathe faster, and feel warmer counts. So, for instance, instead of driving, you can walk or cycle to work. More vigorous activities bring even better health benefits.
People with sedentary lifestyles are especially recommended to take time every day to exercise. Sitting around puts you more at risk of serious medical conditions.
If you’d like to get started exercising, make sure to choose a routine that is suited to the recommended number of minutes you spend according to your age group. Also, remember to have fun while exercising. Exercise, black coffee, and green tea may provide valuable health benefits, but if you have to drag yourself through every session or cup, it will not make you feel any different.
