You might think that you should just starve yourself and stop eating frequently to lose weight, but that doesn’t really do any good. In fact, it slows down when you eat large meals with long hours in between, so it’s actually better if you eat about five to six times a day. Be sure that you eat small meals.

Processed foods also contribute to a slow metabolism, so you may want to stay away from them. Plus, they increase sugar cravings!

Tea also helps rev your metabolism for hours. If you’re not a tea-lover, you can still find ways to enjoy it. Try to mix natural sweeteners like honey or lemon. Or you can just drink lots of clean drinking water, with a minimum of 8 glasses a day.

Of course, exercise matters, too. Whether you lift weights, try high intensity interval training, run, jog, or simply walk for longer hours a day, it’s very important that you increase your physical activities.
