People rely on vitamins and other supplements to meet or double their body’s daily nutritional needs. Some consume prescription drugs, use protein powders, or drink those store-bought bottled boosters.

Now that the holidays have set in, Vitamin C is most needed. It is known to boost your immune system, protecting your body from common cold, cough and flu, and other illnesses. It has even been recently found to fight colorectal cancer.

The question is, how sure are we about our supplements? Does the label actually tell the truth? Well, an article by Tyana Grundig of CBC News reports about some vitamin products that fail to meet label claims:

These vitamin products that fail to meet label claims are just among the many products that we are never going to be sure of. Even your protein powders can be questionable as some also failed the fitness test!

Like what we always tell you, don’t rely on supplements. They’re called “supplements” because they’re only for the addition or enhancement of your vitamin needs. The safest way is to consume natural, whole and raw foods.
