It’s getting colder and colder every day, and everyone has their own ways of working out. They either continue their gym routines, or simply give in to the winter temptation, which I hope not.

Working out in this kind of weather will help you burn more fat, boost heart health, increase energy, and more. It will also help you build a tolerance for cold.

To start, here are simple, cold weather chores to burn fat at home, as listed by Clark Sobel on Muscle and Fitness:

7 COLD WEATHER CHORES TO GET YOUR CALORIE BURN

With the weather starting to chill, the cozy confines of your local gym presents an ideal place to burn off those excess holiday calories. However, that doesn’t make it the only option to get your fitness fix this autumn and winter. As a matter of fact, you can get your burn on while performing a variety of necessary chores in the great outdoors. Read more…

Furthermore, here’s another article from Muscle and Fitness with a routine you can try, as recommended by strength and conditioning specialist Sean Hyson:

WINTER MASS WORKOUT

Relax. Abs season is over. Finally, here are a few more tips listed by Amy Schlinger on Men’s Fitness:

3 TIPS TO GET THE MOST FROM YOUR COLD-WEATHER WORKOUT

In the cold, keeping cool is just as important as staying warm. Read more…

There are so many cold weather chores to burn fat and gain muscle. You just have to continue kicking your butt out, instead of staying in bed all day watching movies, and eating cheat meals. Trust me, you’ll probably end up regretting you overindulged this season.

Anything you do that will stimulate your muscles will work, such as vacuuming the floor, cleaning your backyard, cycling, working out in the gym, and more.

Always check the weather forecast because there are times when it’s risky to go out. When that happens, it’s better for you to stay at home. A few days of rest won’t hurt, anyway, as long as you won’t disregard your body goals.

And of course, proper clothing is important. Don’t hesitate to add as many layers as you’d like. Exercising is good, but you wouldn’t want to literally get frozen outside, right?

If you have asthma or heart illness, it’s better if you consult with your doctor first before doing any workout.
