GoGo squeeZ applesauce products recalled over mould, according to an announcement by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) on Wednesday. The same products were recalled in the US last week.

Moulds are various types of fungi that has a white or grayish color. They grow in any environment or season. If they grow in your home, they may cause allergic reactions such as sneezing, runny nose, coughing, redness of the eyes and more.

But when eaten, they may cause diarrhea, vomiting and stomach cramps. Read more about it in this article on CTV News:

If you’re a frequent buyer of GoGo squeeZ, check if you have one of the applesauce products recalled. And in case you didn’t know, there are also other fruit products that the CFIA recalled last month. They should be thrown away immediately, or returned to the store where you bought them.

Whether there are recall announcements or not, always make sure that your foods are safe to consume. Check the expiration dates, or if they have signs of spoilage.
