Your back muscles are as important as the other muscles of your body. If they’re not properly toned, you are more likely to have bad posture, which affects your overall athletic performance.

Since the latissimi dorsi, most commonly known as the “lats,” are “what give the back width,” they are important to include in your daily workouts. They’re among the parts you need to focus on to tone your back, V-taper and even chest. Fortunately, it’s not such a challenge to widen them.

These moves for big lats also work your biceps, chest, shoulders and forearms. They are all connected, which is good because then you are able to save time. Aside from widening your back, these exercises also strengthen it and keeps you away from injuries.

For the pulldown, you can experiment with wider or closer grip. Try to alternate them so you won’t get bored! That way you’ll also develop your grip. You also have to add weight to challenge your body to give more room for improvement.

Also, not having a toned V-taper does not mean you don’t have big lats!
