Hitting single digit bodyfat is a goal almost every gym-goer wants to achieve. Well, who plans to keep their beer belly, right? But stubborn fat are stubborn as they are. They’re too clingy to leave!

Kidding aside, you have to be very patient if you want to lose unwanted fat. It won’t happen overnight! It takes a series of heavy workout in the gym.

But let’s start with setting up a healthy diet that you need to follow, as discussed on Men’s Health:

How to Get Single-Digit Body Fat

At a fitness conference last Spring, I joined some friends for breakfast. It was a normal breakfast up until the moment Spencer Nadolsky, D.O., pulled a scale out of his gym bag to weigh a banana. Read more…

Torching calories isn’t an easy task. You have to throw out a lot of food from your diet, particularly processed and fast foods. Fizzy, sugary drinks are a no-no. They don’t contain any nutritional benefits, and will leave you with a heightened risk for diseases like cancer, diabetes and heart diseases.

So if you want to see the results really fast, Muscle and Fitness suggests this meal plan:

28 DAYS TO LEAN MEAL PLAN

You’’re training hard every day with your program, going heavy on the weights and sweating up a storm with cardio. Newsflash: While that’’s critical to your ultimate success, that’’s just not enough for you to lose the fat you want to.

To reach your get-lean goal, you must also follow a get-lean diet. Why? Even if you work out hard for an hour every day, that still leaves 23 more hours for you to wreck all your hard work in the gym with just one slip-up: a measly handful of chips, a beer with the guys or a burger at lunch. Diet is a huge, so to speak, part of the fat-loss equation. It’s the backbone of your entire plan, the foundation of a hard body. Read more…

So how do you achieve hitting single digit bodyfat? A good workout and a healthy diet!

No, you don’t need to cut on carbs. You don’t need to ditch fats, either. And protein isn’t the only nutrient you need for muscle building.

You need carbs to fuel your body, so consume them in the morning just before your workout. Your body needs healthy fats, choose the plant-based options. You need protein.. but so as magnesium, potassium and more. Just be sure to get the right nutrients from the right food choices.

For your workout routines, make sure that you are doing your reps correctly because if not, it is likely that you won’t gain anything at all.
