Alcohol consumption is very common in today’s world, even among minors. I honestly don’t know anyone who has never drunk, even just a sip, a beer or wine.
Let’s face it – everyone has drunk even once in his life, which is exactly why this has caused about 88,000 deaths annually from the year 2006-2010 in the United States alone, making it the third leading lifestyle-related cause of death.
Habitual drinking increases your risk of chronic conditions and illnesses like cancer, anemia, cardiovascular diseases, cirrhosis, dementia, depression, seizures, and more. There are tons of reasons to stop, but people are very stubborn.

Taking a month off drinking alcohol can slash the risk of developing life threatening illnesses and disease, according to a new study.
Patients who gave up for four weeks saw benefits for their liver function, blood pressure and cholesterol levels and were also at lower risk of developing diabetes and liver disease, research from University College London suggested. Read more…

Although we’ve learned that drinking a glass of red wine every day may help control type 2 diabetes, it’s still better to avoid alcohol as much as possible. If you’re pregnant, don’t ever drink it. It may cause lifetime damage to your unborn baby.
Aside from illnesses, alcohol also causes vehicular accidents. In fact, around 10,076 deaths were reported in the United States back in 2013, all because of drunk drivers.
