Leukaemia, a cancer of the blood, has affected about 327,520 people in the US alone, and around 24,450 of them will die this year. It’s the most common cancer in children aged 15 and below, and typically attacks adults aged 55 and above. Men are at a higher risk than women.

Compared to other types of cancers, leukaemia has a higher cure rate, assuming that proper treatment is done. But hopefully this new discovery of how scientists can now make leukemia cells kill each other will cause a decline in this disease’s death rate each year.
If you are worried that you’re at risk for cancer, you’ll have to make a major lifestyle change. Start with your plate. Eat more healthy foods, particularly fruits and vegetables. If you rely heavily on processed foods every day, I suggest you stop as early as now. They have no nutritional value, trust me! Increase your physical activity, too, and don’t forget to give yourself enough time to sleep and relax.
For now, we’ll have to wait until there’s a go-signal for this potential treatment.
