The “pump” – you may have heard this word from your trainer or from that random dude in the gym. But what is it, really?

The bodybuilder’s pump is the result of an intense training. It is literally the process where your blood is pumped throughout your body, causing a rush to your whole system. This in turn can make you burn more fat and gain more muscle.

More information is discussed by personal trainer Amy Roberts on Men’s Fitness:

GET SWOLE: WHAT’S THE DEAL WITH “THE PUMP?”

The bodybuilder’s pump: That all-swoled-up post-workout state that Arnold once likened it to sex. “Runners have their ‘high’ and bodybuilders have their ‘pump’—the feeling of euphoria brought on by the rush of blood that causes your muscles to swell during a weight workout,” explains personal trainer Mike Creamer of Anatomically Correct in NYC. Read on to find out what’s actualy happening there, how to max it out—and whether or not you can take it too far. Read more…

Now let’s get you ready with a pumped-up session at the gym..

I know there are times where you just want to do something, but you don’t know where to start. That happens a lot for most gym-goers. But once they realize how much their body can change when they leave the laziness behind, they just can’t stop working out.
