Exercise is essential for our health. Aside from controlling your weight and strengthening your bones and muscles, it reduces your risk of chronic diseases like cardiovascular diseases, stroke, type 2 diabetes and cancer by up to 50 percent. It is also good for your brain health as it helps release your feel-good chemicals called endorphins, which eases stress and can reduce your risk of depression and dementia by 30 percent.

Lots of health benefits, right? That’s why you need to boost your time and effort, and make it possible to fit it in even on your busiest schedules.

So yes, 30 minutes of exercise a day is not enough – it has to be AT LEAST an hour. It may be hard to find the time to exercise a day, but it’s important to make it fit in your schedule. A simple walk to the grocery store or on your way to work, or taking the stairs instead of the elevator counts!

And instead of sitting there, scrolling your Facebook or Twitter or Instagram homepage, why not do a few jumping jacks or push-ups? Your body will thank you for it later in life, I promise!
