Cancer is among the worst diseases. It has caused roughly 8.2 million deaths worldwide in the year 2012. This number has surely increased by now.
There are rumors that the cure is out there, but the medical world is hiding it because it will cause a decline in profits, since there will be no expensive treatment to be done such as chemotherapy, dialysis and more.
Some cancers run in the person’s blood – they have been passed from generation to generation. But some come from unhealthy habits. Here are more factors that add to the list of common cancer causing substances on The Philippine Star:

PARIS — Hotdogs, bologna and other processed meats now rank alongside tobacco, alcohol and around 100 more substances on the International Agency for Research on Cancer’s list of Group 1 carcinogens. In 2012, 14.1 million new cancer cases were diagnosed and 8.2 million cancer deaths were recorded, according to the IARC. This list of common cancer causing substances should serve as a guide to us. It’s a no-brainer that we need to avoid them since we’ve established that these four things cause cancers.
Lifestyle intervention is the best thing to do to prevent cancer long before it starts. Eat more whole and raw foods, especially fruits and vegetables. Increase your day-to-day activities – go for a walk, jog, bike, or work out in the gym. Stop smoking, or if you’re not, then avoid being exposed to tobacco smoke.
Avoid processed foods, especially processed meat like sausages, bacon, ham as they have recently been ranked by the World Health Organization alongside smoking as cancer causes. Avoid alcohol as much as possible, too. Get enough sleep and relax. And most importantly, love your body.
