Nowadays, people are trying to go on a low-carb diet when they want to lose weight. To be honest, that doesn’t really work. Going on a restrictive diet will make you miss the essential nutrients your body needs. It’s not fun, either, because you’ll try to avoid a lot of foods that, in fact, may contain the healthy carbs.

As the saying goes: “All carbs are not created equal.” That said, there are carbs you have to avoid, and there are carbs that you don’t need to fear.

In conclusion, there are loads of reason to eat more carbs, and controlling your carb intake is the only way to use them as a guilt-free, healthy fuel to your body. And that’s not rocket science – you have to consume the healthy ones from plant foods, and avoid the unhealthy ones from processed foods.

Processed foods contain a lot of added sugar and refined carbs that contribute to unwanted weight gain, and let’s not forget the fact that they cause obesity, diabetes, stroke, heart attack, and cancer.

Timing is also important. So make sure to eat the right foods at the right time.
