Scoring a perfectly polished physique may seem impossible at the moment, especially if you’re a huge guy spending his time eating processed chips and drinking soda in front of the television each and every day. Well, duh, you won’t really achieve anything if you’re stuck in the eat-and-say-what-the-hell zone.
But I’ll tell you what, having a perfect body only requires a few steps. Two of the most important steps are spending quality time in the gym, and eating a healthy diet. Let’s focus on the workout, though, by following these routines suggested on Men’s Fitness:
BUILD YOUR “PERFECT” BODY ROUTINE
Start with the barbell on the supports of a power rack at about shoulder height. Grab the bar overhand and raise your elbows until your upper arms are parallel to the floor. Now lift the bar off the rack, letting it roll toward your fingers—this is where it should rest throughout the exercise (as long as you keep your elbows raised, you won’t have trouble balancing the bar). Squat as low as you can and then drive with your legs to return to the starting position. Read more…
Moreover, if you are on a rush to lose pounds, here’s a 3-week program on Muscle and Strength:
Fast 21 Workout: 3 Weeks To A Lean & Shredded Physique
This program consists of 21 days of heavy compound movements mixed with high-intensity training to deliver fast results and help you get in the best shape of your life. Each day brings something different to the table when it comes to training methods: Heavy core lifts, super sets, drop sets, and giant sets are all part of Fast 21. Separate muscle groups are worked out 6 days a week, including one ab and cardio circuit at the end of the week. Read more…
Note, though, that the results of this program may vary from person to person, depending on your body state at present. Don’t get discouraged if you don’t see the dream body you want in that specific time frame.
Finally, personal trainer Maik Wiedenbach shares a few more tips on Muscle and Fitness:
PEAK WEEK: 4 STEPS TO A PERFECTLY POLISHED PHYSIQUE
Prepping for the final week (peak-weak) before a big event like a competition is one subject in the bodybuilding world that’s clogged up with myths and half truths. Sodium loading, water depletion, carb loading… the list goes on and on. In fact, I have seen several people over the years messing up a perfectly good physique by using some insane seven-day protocol the last week before their event. Therefore it’s time to address this mystery once and for all. Disclaimer: if you do not look good two weeks before your big event, than the chances of looking great when you get there will be slim. Read more…
Again, it’s very possible to have a godlike, perfectly polished physique, you just have to keep on training! But not too much that you start to overdo it. Overtraining will do more harm than good in the end, plus you won’t gain as much. Remember to increase your load every now and then as your fitness level increases, and continue to spice up your routines, such as using dumbbells while doing squats or so, to keep your body challenged.
In addition to that, your diet is an important factor, so always keep it in check. Aim for more protein to build and maintain muscle, but remember that other nutrients such as fibre, healthy fat, carbs, etc., are important too.
And of course, you have to remain consistent and dedicated in your plan. Your work does not stop the moment you achieve your dream body. Make it a lifestyle, not just a temporary phase.
