Watching TV for Longer Can Reduce Brain Power Over Time

Nothing beats a Friday night just chilling in front of the TV, watching your favorite shows, or having a marathon of your the latest series, or just something funny you came across while switching from one channel to another. Imagine that, with a bottle of beer and pizza in your hand. And since it’s too much of a good thing, you spend the whole night just watching, until eventually you just fall asleep on the couch, and the next morning you’re watching again. Life, right?!

But seems like that’s not too good at all. A new study conducted by researchers at the University of California, San Francisco has found that watching TV for longer could reduce brain over time. Read more in this report by Angus Chen on NPR:

If too much TV can reduce brain power over time, then what does that make of social media, or gaming, for that matter? I guess there’s just one thing for sure.. Everything has its limits, so it’s best to be on the moderate side. It’s the same with cheat meals and other habits, anyways.

And if you can’t stop yourself, then be sure to exercise or eat healthy brain foods, so you can at least fight the decline. Both have their positive effects to the brain.
