Canadian Researchers Break Blood-Brain Barrier

The brain has its own “security system” called the blood-brain barrier. It’s good, because it only lets the essential nutrients in, while it blocks the harmful substances that may enter. But the problem with this is that it’s too protective that even the medicine that may help treat injuries and brain diseases such as tumors, Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s disease.

But a very good news from CTV reports that Canadian researchers break blood-brain barrier with the use of focused ultrasound waves:

So, it’s really amazing that these Canadian researchers break blood-brain barrier without harming it, because it’s almost impossible as it can cause neurodegenerative disorders when it breaks down.

Brain diseases affect millions of people worldwide, and hopefully, this new discovery will unlock the treatment for these illnesses, including cancer.
