Drinking beer has been a part of our culture for ages. Some drink occasionally, while some drink multiple bottles every day. Even though we know it’s not healthy and that it sure does cause a flabby belly, it’s really hard to avoid it.

Guinness, a beer company that started way back in the late 1700s, has reported that they are going vegan. And what you didn’t know was in your beer was revealed in this report by Gillian Mohney on ABC News:

This week, Guinness Brewing company announced that it will no longer use fish bladders (called isinglass) in an effort to allow vegetarians and vegans to enjoy the beer. Read more…

So there you go, what you didn’t know was in your beer was fish bladders, and these help fine or clarify beers and wines. But that still sounds gross, Guinness.

This year is its 256th year, and it finally went down to a healthier road. Their beers will be vegetarian and vegan-friendly by next year.

Note, it’s still beer! Even though it’s way better now, you shouldn’t overindulge. Though, there may be a chance that post-workout beers may exist in the future…
