Abs are undoubtedly listed in everyone’s gym goals. Come on, who doesn’t want to look all fierce and sexy with their beach body?! Everyone can achieve that, but like any other body parts, it takes time to tone your core.

Good news for you – we have an effective, fast paced ab routine to give you, from the diet plan to the moves you can try. Let’s start with this guideline written by Ridz Buk on Fitness Republic:

How to Get Six Pack Abs Fast

Want those shredded six packs? Don’t worry! You don’t have to crank out hundreds of crunches a day! If you really wanna see your abs, strip away that fat and tone up those underlying muscles to reveal your six pack abs. Read more…

As you’ve read, you need other nutrients aside from protein, including fat and carbs. There’s no reason to take them away from your diet, really, just as long as you get them from the healthier food groups. The plant-based sources are the best.

For your workout, Shape has some moves you can do at home:

Here’s A Fast And Furious Bodyweight Workout For Your Abs

When it comes to toning your core, you should think beyond the crunches. This routine from PopSugar’s No-Excuses Workout Challenge uses five full-body moves to work your abs from multiple angles. Read more…

The best thing about these moves is that you don’t need anything. Just a yoga mat, if you want, but it’s not really a requirement.

Lastly, personal trainer Dave Dreas shares this effective 2-minute workout, with the use of a Swiss ball on Muscle and Fitness:

THE 120-SECOND AB ROUTINE

Many gym goers traditionally throw abs in at the end of their workout. Time is spent focused on the major muscle groups leaving little time to hit the core. With warmer weather just around the corner, here’s a quick core finisher focusing on both strength and stability. Just find a mat, Swiss ball and a stopwatch. Read more…

To sum it up, you need more protein, but you also need the healthy carbs and fat. Don’t focus on one nutrient because your body needs a balanced diet. Drink lots of water to keep you hydrated and enhance your metabolism. Get enough sleep as well, this will keep you away from binge eating. As for your workouts, you may want to do more cardio exercises as they are very effective in burning tons of unwanted fat.

Note, though, that human body differs from person to person. Don’t get discouraged if you don’t see the results real quick. Even though this is a fast paced ab routine, it doesn’t happen overnight. Just continue to follow the guide, and it will surely reward you with your dream body!
